How has a listings magazine managed to influence and stimulate the development of London’s design scene over the past 40 years ? Swinging 60s, groovy 70s, upwardly mobile 80s, new Brit 90s and the smooth naughties, London has also managed to adapt but retain its identity. This lively debate will be discussing the changes and similarities between generations of designers working in the city spanning the last 40 years and how a greater accessibility to cultural activity created by publications such as Time Out has influenced these developments.

WHERE NEXT ?

- Design Cities Public Debate

In this debate the British Council, and the Design Museum have come together to examine the notion of ‘Design City’, and look to where this title might be applied in the future. Please check the Design Museum website for further details.
